The Earth and Space Foundation is a non-profit exploration organization based in Silicon Valley, California. It was founded by Charles Cockell in 1994. The Foundation is developing a number of international grant programs directed towards expeditions and environmental fieldwork using space technology or exploration endeavors with space related interests. The Foundation`s principle objective is to act as an education and grant-giving organization, although it has a series of long-term non-terrestrial prizes for the conquest of significant planetary surface frontiers.
