Detailed Information:
HawkWatch International is 10 years old now and has been conducting migration counts for the past 13 years. We have 10 counting sites in thewestern U.S and one in Vera Cruz, Mexico. Our work represents the largestset of data on migrating raptors in the western U.S. We also conduct education projects for school children using live birds. This is concentrated in Utah, New Mexico and Nevada. We rely heavily on volunteer support especially in our migration work.Currently we are developing a project with the Chemical Weapons Incinerator in Tooele, Utah, to monitor the emission from the incinerator.
