The Quebec Environmental Health Committee is mandated by the Conseil des directeurs de la santé publique du Québec (The Quebec Board of Public Health Directors) and by the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services to co-ordinate regional public health department positions and programs on certain shared objectives and dossiers in environmental health. It also endeavours to facilitate the dialogue between the public health system and external partners on problems of primary importance at the provincial level and provides expertise for the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services on various dossiers of provincial responsibility.
