A plant's finest tool for adaptation is its ability to set seed. With each generation it becomes better suited to the unique constraints and opportunities of its environment. Eco-Fair Texas, which for years has sponsored the South's first and largest ecological conference and trade show, is following nature's example. Gathering the seeds of knowledge and experience gained from these pioneering annual events, we are setting to work creating the plans for our future landscape: a permanent demonstration center and interactive learning facility which models one version of a life grounded in ecologically sound practices.
