The Environmental Assessment Division of Argonne National Laboratory (http://www.ead.anl.gov) has launched the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System Renewal EIS Web Site (http://tapseis.anl.gov), the online public information and involvement center for the environmental impact statement (EIS) for renewal of the right-of-way for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has selected Argonne as the prime contractor for preparation of the TAPS Renewal EIS. The TAPS Renewal EIS Web Site includes information about TAPS, the EIS, public meetings, Native Alaskan consultation, and how the public can get involved in the EIS process. Other resources include documents, a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ), news updates. The public can use the site to submit comments on the EIS via a web form or by e-mail.
