Detailed Information:
Defend the Dunes has been set up to protect and enhance the remaining coastal sand dunes in the part of the north west English county of Lancashire which is known as the Fylde.

We are seeking to have development stopped on sites within the green belt between St. Annes and Blackpool. We also aim to have the extraction of sand from the foreshore for commercial purposes stopped and we have the long term aim of turning any potential development sites in the area back into green field sites.
