TVA is a registered non-profit charitable organization and is run by volunteers. Our biggest projects include: the Annual Vegetarian Food Fair (http://www.veg.ca/foodfair), a huge free celebration held each September than attracts well over 10,000 people; the Vegetarian Directory, a free publication listing vegetarian restaurants, stores, cooking classes and more; and our Resource Centre, featuring over 500 titles of books and cookbooks, plus magazines, audio tapes and videos available for viewing or loan. Other projects include our bimonthly newsletter, Lifelines, the Vegetarian Discount Card, as well as various outreach activities at schools, offices, malls and parks. Membership is open to all by annual donation.
