Detailed Information:
The National Community Forestry Center is a program of the National Network of Forest Practitioners (NNFP). NNFP members share a commitment to rural community development based upon sustainable forestry. The NNFP received funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to cover start-up and operation of a center to support participatory, community-based research in rural communities with forest land. The National Community Forestry Center, Northern Forest Region is administered by Yellow Wood Associates, Inc. of St. Albans, Vermont. Visit our website at www.ncfcnfr.net for a full description of our services which include free publications and responses to community forestry-related inquiries, as well as a database of demonstration forests throughout our region.
Our goal is to add value to the work of individuals and organizations fostering healthy communities and working forests that are both dynamic and diverse.
