The National Charrette Institute (NCI) is a non-profit organization that trains professionals in the Charrette process, and facilitates affordable Charrettes for deserving communities. NCI’s ultimate mission is to help people create healthy communities by teaching the art and science of Dynamic Planning, by facilitating transformative change within communities, and advancing the field of collaborative design. .NCI’s first public event, the two-day course on “How to Design a Successful Charrette,” will be held in San Francisco on March 28-29, 2002. Subsequent programs will be scheduled in Orlando, Atlanta, and Austin this spring with additional cities and dates to be determined.
