Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library, an environmental learning center

The Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library provides an opportunity for teachers, students, and the general public from the metroplitan Kansas City area and across Kansas to engage in original scientific research related to the environment as well as life, earth and physicl sciences.

Detailed Information:
The facility is equipped with a computer lab and science study lab for use by teachers, students and the general public under the direction of professional staff.

The facility also has natural areas of study including a nature trail, forest, native grass and wildflowers, a butterfly garden, and bird watching area.

Public programming is also offered in a series of Saturday nature-themed activities for the entire family and a junior naturalist program for children 12 years and younger.
