An alliance of individuals and organisations wishing to see a better use of railways for moving goods and people around. Based in the United Kingdom, the group maintains international links and is keen to encourage the involvement of all citizens in the development of local transport facilities.

Railfuture is an independent democratic voluntary organisation based in London, England, with an active federation of branches covering the United Kingdom. The organisation assists local rail user groups and local authorities to understand the scheduled rail services on offer and to campaign for improved schedules, facilities and route networks. In many circumstances the group has to take an interest in other means of travel, including walking, cycling, buses, para-transit, taxis and air travel. The aim is to make personal travel as safe and seamless as possible whilst reducing the adverse environmental consequences of travel. The group guards carefully its indepedence from political parties, train operators and trades unions but maintains links with all of these and organisations outside the UK that also believe in expressing the views of travellers. Whenever appropriate, considered responses are submitted to policy proposals issued by central government or their consultants/appointees on the subject of public transport.
