This web site is devoted to the aesthetic and environmental aspects of sustainable building materials. Its purpose is to inspire the viewer. The featured solar demonstration home has been on the Albuquerque Green Building Tour for two years. Some of its features are a small size, straw bale and adobe construction, passive solar design, interior and exterior mud plaster, 100% photovoltaic powered, and a rain water cistern to supply water for the toilet, the washing machine, and garden. The home puts aesthetics at an equal standing with sustainbility.
