Headquarted in Ligonier PA, the Loyalhanna Watershed Association is a non-profit organization whose basic goal is to help protect, conserve and enhance the high quality natural resources of the Loyalhanna Creek region. Since its founding in 1971, the LWA has offered a vehicle for concerned citizens interested in regional resources, conservation, and area development projects. The LWA has developed excellent working relationships with an extensive network of governmental agencies, environmental, educational, and community organizations. The cooperative efforts of the LWA and these groups concentrates on education, conservation, remediation, and recreation projects to enhance the quality of life within the region. The LWA strives to achieve its mission via the efforts of over 500 members, a 15 member Board of Directors, two full time staff members, and three Americorps members. The LWA encourages you to contact us and become involved. We need your skills and resources to bring to fruition our many projects that protect, conserve and restore our beautiful watershed.
