Wyoming County Conservation District



Since its foundation in 1949, the Wyoming County Conservation District endeavors, "To be the local contact for meeting the needs of the public pertaining to the conservation of soil, water and related resources by providing the best service we can in partnership with communities, agencies, organizations and individuals."

Detailed Information:
The District assists in the following:

Implementing farm conservation practices that keep soil in the fields and out of waterways

Conserve and restore wetland, enhance the quality of the Commonwealth's watersheds

Provide technical assistance for erosion and sedimentation pollution concerns

Environmental education through brochures and a variety of  programs

Encourage municipalities to implement environmentally sensitive road maintenance practices on dirt and gravel roads through training and grants
