The Electronic Naturalist offers a variety of material for students. Each week for 30 consecutive weeks during the school year, a new environmental unit will be available. Units cover "creepy crawlies", insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, plants, and environmental issues. Each unit includes:• A mini-poster that can be viewed on-line or downloaded in a printer-friendly format for duplication
• Additional information on each topic
• A weekly list of definitions
• An activity that can easily be performed in the
classroom or at home
• Links to other web sites that expand the topic
• The opportunity to ask a professional naturalist a question and have a reply posted directly to the web site or sent as an e-mail
