Plenty International is a community-based, 501©(3) non-profit organization which was founded in 1974 to promote the exchange of appropriate technologies, resources, and skills between people worldwide in a spirit of friendship and cooperation. Over its 28-year history, Plenty International has assisted local partnering groups in poor communities in rural Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America and the U.S in projects to promote economic self-sufficiency, cultural integrity and environmental responsibility. Currently Plenty offers fundraising assistance, materials, volunteers and technical support as needed to several long term, partnering community-based organizations in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Dominica, Mexico, Liberia, and at Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota.
