Upper White River Basin Foundation
A consortium of business and environmental interests working together to clean up the Upper White River Basin in northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. The group acts as an advocate for the water in the watershed, a catalyst for public policy change and an educator of community leaders.

The focus of the Foundation is to
1. Expand and enhance the quantity and quality of water quality monitoring in the basin by state and federal government agencies.
2. Encourage and assist local communities switching to centralized wastewater treatment system from standard septic tank treatment.
3. Encourage individuals to adopt advanced on-site wastewater treatment systems that reduce pollutants going into either surface water supplies or groundwater.
4. Encourage and assist projects that will reduce pollution from rural/agricultural run-off.
