Californians for Western Wilderness
Californians for Western Wilderness (CalUWild) is an unincorporated citizens group founded for the purpose of securing protection for the remaining wilderness areas in the western United States. The organization’s major focus is to create a constituency in California for wilderness in the West, and to encourage and facilitate direct citizen democracy through participation in administrative and legislative actions affecting wilderness and public lands in the West.

Detailed Information:
CalUWild firmly believes that private individuals can make a difference in the management of our public lands — if they possess the tools and information they need to be effective advocates for the lands they love. Our goal is to provide those tools and information.
CalUWild has just one membership requirement: each member agrees to take one action a month to help protect our wilderness — a letter to the editor or a member of Congress, or a comment on a management plan prepared by an agency. (Dues are voluntary but appreciated!)
