Local Food Toolkit
Education-for-action resources make the connection between crises in our health, economies, and environment and present localizing our food systems as a key solution. Our materials present tools to help people bring all aspects of the food economy -- from production, distribution and marketing to cooking and eating -- back into their own hands, and the many benefits of doing so!

Detailed Information:
Calling attention to the root causes behind such crises as declining food safety, environmental degradation, corporate control of food and agriculture, and rural disintegration, ISEC's Local Food Toolkit makes the argument that de-linking from the global system and rebuilding local food links is one of the easiest and most effective strategies for widespread change. Education-for-action resources including a slideshow, a set of posters, books and other materials are available for rental or purchase for classrooms, conferences, community groups and anyone interested in learning more about our food system in order to work for positive change.
