ISEC’s mission is to promote biological as well as cultural diversity by strengthening community and the local economy. Our wide-ranging educational work seeks to reveal the common root causes of today’s crises — from unemployment to climate change, from ethnic conflict to loss of biodiversity — while promoting grassroots and policy-level strategies for ecological and community renewal.
We offer educational resources and programs on four continents, with a strong focus on local food systems.
