Ash Rescue Coalition
The AshRescue web site identifies the characteristics of the Enerald Ash Borer a non-native beetle that is destroying millions of white ash trees in Michigan and Ontario. Without proper preventative measures the beetle will cause billions of dollars worth of damage in all of North America.

AshRescue is a non-profit coalition of groups and individuals who are taking it upon themselves to clearly identify the extent of the devastation and the potential for even greater loss of ash tree resources throughout North America. Headed by Robert Holland LLM, an environmental advocate and lawyer in Windsor Ontario, AshRescue brings together experts from academia and government to examine the problem and ideally propose a course of activities that will result in the eradication of this non-native species in an environmentally sensitive fashion.
Researchers from the University of Michigna, Michigan State University, The Ontario Department of Agriculture and many others are represented on the site, as are numerous links to appropraite government agencies, research facilities, reports, news articles and meeting agenda.
