The center currently accepts #1 and #2 plastic bottles, newspapers, aluminum, steel (tin) cans, paper, magazines and cardboard, including paperboard. The center is staffed entirely by volunteers and its hours of operation are Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to noon. It is located at 601 Bledsoe in Mt. Vernon.
