EC explores coastal issues, as diverse as resource depletion and peasant land rights, in regions often un-represented by the media and major environmental organizations.
EC is commited to research and
documenting the current social and environmental issues that are compromising the health of coastal communities. EC believes in a social science approach to conservation and works in artisan community?s collecting data and images then presenting those findings to news organizations, educators, researchers, and concerned individuals worldwide. EC's staff forms strong community ties gaining a 'ground zero' view of the effects of cultural and environmental degradation caused by coastal development and resource mismanagement.
