Detailed Information:
The National Conservation Trust is a forward-looking environmental organization headquartered in New Haven, CT. Consisting of a small, supported office, a program of carefully-selected internet volunteers, and a host of members from coast to coast, we work with government, with business, and with other non-profits to illuminate and develop methods to improve the environment and sustain strong economic growth. Our numerous successes include preserving wetlands and ecologically sensitive areas through working with developers to devise safe plans, improving water quality through practical methods of non-point source pollutant control, restoring river habitat for endangered northwest salmon, and co-implementing measures to prevent coastal oil spills. We are proud of ourselves and have also succeeded through the providing of leading edge support for a number of campaigns to improve humanity’s relationship with the outdoors, including campaigns for sustainable forestry and grassland use, clean air requirements, and land use planning. With the help of our friends, we plan on continuing the scope of our mission and improving the quality of life on the Earth we inhabit.
