Students for Bhopal

Students for Bhopal is a national network of students dedicated to campaigning for the victims of the Bhopal disaster, the world's worst industrial tragedy. As a part of the the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal (ICJB), we raise awareness about the disaster, advocate for the people of Bhopal, and pressure the Dow Chemical Company to accept its moral and legal responsibilities in Bhopal.

Detailed Information:
Students around the country are learning about the Bhopal disaster and its continuing aftermath. "Students here are like students elsewhere," says Janine Jacques, one of the student campaigners at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. "When we heard about what was happening in Bhopal, we were outraged. We decided that we had to act."

Many students are doing just that, and campus groups dedicated corporate accountability, environmental justice, South Asian development, organized labor, environmental conservation and globalization and humanitarian causes are joining the campaign.

You can too. Simply visit our website and start researching your campus and planning actions.
