ISEB is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, engaged in promoting research, education and mass awareness on environmental protection, focusing the role of plants in pollution indication/mitigation, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
Membership of ISEB extends across the globe. ISEB is also a Scientific Member of International Union of Biological Sciences, Paris.
ISEB regularly organises awareness programmes, seminars etc. to spread its message. It has organised two International Conferences. Third International Conference on Plants and Environmental Pollution (ICPEP-3) is planned on 22-25 November 2005, Lucknow, India.
It also publishes a quarterly newsletter, EnviroNews
