WE CAN, Inc.
WE CAN is a non-profit organization based in Manhattan since 1987. Our services include providing the poor and homeless with a safe and hassle-free location where they can redeem $.05 deposit bottles and cans. To date, WE CAN has paid out over $33 million to poor and homeless redeemers which equates to diverting 85,000 tons of solid waste from New York's landfills.

In addition to providing a source of income for this unique population, WE CAN offers a comprehensive outreach program by collaborating with other area New York City outreach teams. By working with these other teams, we are able to provide transportation to and from shelters, referrals for specific agencies, and health exams by our Pace University School of Nursing outreach staff.
