In order to protect the world’s environment The Foundation of Environmental Improvement collects used edible oil (yellow grease) for redistribution to companies for conversion into biofuels. Biofuels reduce emissions of carbon monoxide, particulate matter, unburned hydrocarbons, sulfates and cancer causing aromatics compared to fossil fuels, and are less hazardous to human health and the environment. The continued use of fossil fuels threatens the world’s fragile eco system. Emissions from diesel engines contribute significant pollutants to the earth’s atmosphere.
