Hosted and maintained by the non-profit Public Lands Interpretive Association (PLIA), www.publiclands.org is a cooperative effort of PLIA and the US Bureauu of Land Management. The website contains full pages of current information about each National or State Park or Monument, National Forest campground, US Army Corps of Engineers lake, Fish and Wildlife Service Refuge and other installations. The pages show reasons to go, directions, local management contacts, fee and reservation info and a grid of outdoor activities and facilities, plus area maps and recommended books and maps for the locale. The site is searchable state by state using maps, agency site lists or by filling in blank activity/facility grids. Means to e-mail inquiries to the website or pass on info to friends are easily available.
