Heal the Bay is a regional nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy and clean. Heal the Bay works to achieve its mission through research, education, community action and advocacy. HtB coordinates the Adopt-A-Beach program in L.A. County, operates the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, and offers many volunteer opportunities. Through school programs and informal education, HtB outreaches to over 50,000 people annually and help the public in Los Angeles become stewards of coastal resources.
