Global Studies has developed World Ecosystems Beyond Borders (WEBB): An Environmental Curriculum for Wisconsin Students. This free web-based curriculum seeks to help middle school teachers bring global environmental issues to their science and social studies classrooms.
The WEBB curriculum engages Wisconsin students in a dynamic study of local and global environmental issues -- in part by comparing how similar issues are dealt with by communities in Wisconsin and abroad. Each unit is designed to be teacher-friendly, containing background information, activities, and an extensive list of resources. The curriculum encourages critical thinking and uses a variety of instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
