WIRE is a globally accessible database for RE topics; a world-wide intranet which lets users publish as well as download structured information items. Material includes conference proceedings of the International Solar Energy Society. Using pre-determined publication templates, any registered user can create documents which are reviewed before publication. Advanced softwareallows integration of graphical elements as well as audio and video files. None of these features require knowledge of HTML - the only tool you need is a standard web browser (Netscape, Explorer, etc.).
