Reclamation manages water related resources west of the Mississippi River. Besides being the largest wholesale supplier of water in the United States, the agency is the nation`s sixth largest hydroelectric power generator. Reclamation projects include 343storage dams and reservoirs (308 of these sites offer a variety of recreation activities), 58hydroelectric power plants, and 54,550 miles of canals and other conveyance anddistribution facilities.
