Detailed Information:
International Dolphin Watch was established in 1978 by Dr. Horace Dobbs following his adventures with a friendly wild dolphin known as Donald. Since helping to establish the first whale and dolphin sightings network in the UK, IDW has established and supported projects around the world. These include campaigns against captivity, whale and dolphin kills, pollution and industrial fishing. Operation Sunflower explores the uplifting and healing effects of encounters with wild dolphins, especially on those suffering from depression and autism. Dolphinicity Surveys is the latest project and will aalow members of the public to join IDW on UK Whale and Dolphin Surveys.
