The POLLUTION PREVENTION (P2) MISSION of the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics is to promote pollution prevention as the guiding principle for all of our environmental efforts at the EPA, and to endorse and apply prevention-oriented solutions to environmental problems.
Major OPPT P2 ACTIVITIES include:- PREVENTION POLICY - Developing Agency Policy on Pollution Prevention
- PREVENTION INTEGRATION - Advancing P2 in the Agency's Core Programs, Coordinating EPA Regional P2 Activities.
- PREVENTION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - Promoting "Green" Products, Building Industry Partnerships and Leveraging Business Practices and Processes, Advancing Green Chemistry, Empowering State and Local Prevention Programs, Disseminating P2 Information and Expertise.
