This website is part of a "bioregional information system" for the coastal temperate rainforest of North America which stretches from San Francisco, California to Kodiak Island in Alaska. Our goal is to create a network of accessible and useful information at multiple scales; bioregion, watershed, community, and business. The purpose of this effort is to help organizations, individuals, and businesses concerned with issues of community, economy, and environment to be able to acquire and use information relevant to their local watersheds and places, and to understand the bioregional context of these places.
