In the last few years, automakers have begun offering vehicles that run on fuels other than gasoline or petroleum diesel. Far from being experimental or exotic, these cars and trucks are "ready for prime time" as daily transportation; I have owned and driven natural-gas-powered trucks since 1993, and in 1998 I drove "Clean Across America And Back", a round-trip journey from Los Angeles to Maine. This site was created as a place to post my online journal of that trip; it has grown into a general information resource about a wide variety of alternative motor vehicles fuels, including continuing reports about new vehicles, events, etc., and links to other online resources that I have found to be trustworthy.
