EarthSave Australia was formed in 1996 during the succesful campaign in the Blue Mountains to stop McDonalds coming into the area.We were inspired by EarthSave International but are a completely independent Australian organization. Our main policy areas cover the various environmental, health and animal welfare issues associated with the promotion of a meat free diet, the benefits to people and society as a whole of natural medicine, encouraging hemp to be used for paper, the switching of agricyulture to organic farming methods and permaculture , the opposition to uranium mining, and other related issues.
