Earth Society Foundation
The Earth Society Foundation (ESF), a 501(c)(3) foundation, was founded by Margaret Mead and John McConnell in 1976 to foster environmental projects that promote clean land, air and water. The Earth Society Foundation works cooperatively with the business community, civic groups, governments, and non- governmental organizations (NGOs) as well as working closely with other environmental groups. The Society is an accredited NGO at the United Nations and sponsor of the annual Earth Day observance.
