Home page for the Department of Aquatic Resources department of St. Francis Xavier University. Three principle factors encouraged St. Francis Xavier University to create a new Aquatic Resources program: concern for the Atlantic fishery and the need to assist coastal communities, the 65-year involvement by the Extension Department in the well-being of the people in the surrounding area, and the University`s desire to provide undergraduate programs which will meet practical and employment needs.
