Detailed Information:
Fert Research’s commitment to transferring technical industry knowledge to lay audiences has come a step closer with the addition of a web site to its existing communications mediums. The site's main aim is to make research and other information Fert Research holds regarding the environment and sustainable land use more readily available and accessible. The NZFMRA, or Fert Research, funds approximately NZ$2.5 million of research each year and has recently developed a Code of Practice for Fertiliser Use to help promote sustainable land and water management and environmental protection. A section specifically for primary and secondary school students provides information for history and science projects along with environmental links to resources on the internet. All visitors can also have their say on the virtual bulletin board which allows interested parties the opportunity to openly discuss industry issues.
