The (Ottawa) PERC's mission is to(a) educate the public about peace environment and social justice issues;(b) empower people to get involved in these issues;(c) support local groups who are involved.Means for doing this include: publishing a local activist newspaper (the PEN); a website, workshops on grassroots organizing; working with the city on public education; a library/drop-in resource centre with 1400 books, 60 magazines and newsletters containing 33000 computer-indexed articles, and videotapes.
