The Trail Center provides volunteer trail building, repair and mapping opportunities and trail information for the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay Area.

Our mission is to be the premier resource for trail information and trail volunteer opportunities for the counties of San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Alameda. We sponsor workdays in a variety of public lands throughout the year to improve and supplement the existing trail system. We teach the craft of building and maintaining trails by hand. Our volunteers have produced large-scale trail maps and a park-locator map for our area. Through our work, we foster stewardship for the wildlands of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
