Household hazardous waste issues course designed to assist solid waste planners, health officials, government officials, business leaders, educators, and citizen leaders. You will learn how to teach people to recognize hazardous products; why HHW is more a safety and health issue than a disposal problem; how consumers can protect themselves from hazardous products; who is regulating what; why HHW shouldn't go into extisting municipal waste systems, how to get support for your program, and how to design a successful community education program.
