Northern Arizona University has declared itself "The Environmental University," and the Political Science Department at NAU has developed a strong emphasis in numerous aspects of environmental politics. More than half of our FACULTY have environmental concerns integrated into their research and coursework, and the department has a number of undergraduate and graduate programs designed to fit a variety of student needs and interests. Students can study environmental policy, Southwest environmental issues, environmental justice, natural resource policy, environmental administration, green political theory, development, environmental movements (both U.S. and international), international political economy, hunger, and more. Degrees available include B.A. or B.S. in Political Science, B.S. in American Political Studies, B.A. in International Affairs, Masters of Public Administration, M.A. in Political Science, Ph.D. in Political Science. An emphasis on environmental politics and policy is available in all of these programs.
