STARC:Student Alliance to Reform Corporations
STARC, the Student Alliance to Reform Corporations, is a grassroots student movement seeking to stop corporations' abuses of power, and to make corporations more socially and environmentally responsible. Our alliance has grown out of the efforts of independent socially responsible investment movements at universities across the country. Working only on individual campuses, many of us came up against what seemed indomitable resistance. As we share information and begin to unify our demands across the country, we are finding that we can change the way our universities invest. We are part of a movement that will revolutionize corporations.
