Nefta, which was founded in 1991, is the only public service registry of independent professionals involved in electromagnetic field (EMF) testing, consulting, mitigation and research, with members throughout North America.Members test and mitigate EMF for a fee as part of their primary occupation. They are not salaried by any company or organization which might present a conflict of interest such as power companies, real estate agencies, trade unions etc. Members are knowledgeable about electromagnetic field health research and the physics of electricity and magnetism. They have at least one year`s hands-on professional EMF testing experience or equivalent educational/occupational background.
