IronStraw Group is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to teaching At-Risk, disadvantaged and rural populations sustainable building practices using compressed strawbale construction technologies. IronStraw has youth certificate programs, leads workshops, conducts free seminars and makes school presentations to educate the public about the benefits of using this 100 year old method of building sustainable structures.
IronStraw Group partners with local communites and corporate sponsors to design and build environmentally friendly, affordable, energy efficient and beautiful strawbale homes. IronStraw was founded in 1994 and is located in Eastern Washington state.
