Living Laboratories Inc. is dedicated to designing and building projects that uncover the principles and lessons contained in healthy ecological systems and to create new learning environments that provide children with direct contact and participation with these systems. The Living Laboratories project was created to provide design consultation, community organizing and construction administration free of charge to educators who wish to develop living education environments on school campuses. We are currently planning or building ponds, streams, farms, gardens, weather stations, observatories, wind machines, miniature forest habitats, and vernal pools at several sites. We are also working with the schools at these sites on a program to train their children in basic gardening, farming, earth care and building skills under what we are calling the Bio-builders network.
