The Allan Savory Center for Holistic Management was established as an international nonprofit organization to advance the practice of Holistic Management and to coordinate its continued development. The Center serves as the hub of an information exchange network that includes an association of educators certified to provide training in Holistic Management, practitioners worldwide who may associate as learning support groups or more formally as state, regional, or national affiliates, and a sister organization, the Africa Centre for Holistic Management with a training site near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Holistic Management originated as a search for the means to reverse the spread of deserts and the corollary loss of biodiversity. Over time, its founder Allan Savory and thousands of practitioners world wide have had real success in this effort-- while realizing that successful management requires sound decision making and a holistic world view. The ensuing decision making framework has positive implications for people managing their own lives, their families, businesses, farms and wildlands, communities and more. In constant evolution itself, Holistic Management strives to build upon the cumulative learnings of practitioners, science, and businesses and provide a framework for positive and progressive movement toward a sustainable future. The Center provides educational programs ranging from weekend introductions to two year Certified Educator Training as well as publications, including Savory's newly revised, HOLISTIC MANAGEMENT: A NEW FRAMEWORK FOR DECISION MAKING, newsletter and other valuable resources.
